Design & Development

Design & Development

For Ponta Records, the design and development process was driven by close collaboration with the client, who is also a personal friend. We met three to four times over the span of one to two months, ensuring that the brand’s identity aligned with his vision. This consistent communication allowed me to better understand his ideas, while also keeping the project flexible and adaptive.

Inspired by nature’s earthy tones—particularly brown and green—we chose colors that symbolized the organic, raw nature of many instruments, especially wood. This concept grounded the label’s visual identity in authenticity and creativity. Additionally, I applied agile practices and design sprint exercises to help us stay aligned with the client’s evolving ideas while focusing on the first release and merchandising.

Throughout the process, we focused on key visual elements like the logo, typography, colors, and shapes. Every design decision was crafted to reflect Ponta Records' mission of delivering innovative and meaningful music experiences.

A primary challenge in the Ponta Records project was ensuring the brand’s identity conveyed both creativity and clarity. Designing a unique, innovative look that reflected the label’s artistic direction while remaining visually consistent required a deep understanding of its core values. Additionally, aligning the design elements with the target audience’s expectations was crucial—ensuring the brand felt both fresh and approachable. Balancing bold, experimental visuals with a cohesive aesthetic demanded multiple iterations and ongoing communication with the client to fine-tune every detail. It was a process of creative problem-solving, refining the identity until it felt authentic and visually impactful.

Additionally, I gained a deeper understanding of how design can merge creativity with strategy, ensuring that a bold, artistic vision is also aligned with the target audience’s expectations and the business’s long-term goals.
